The High Country recorded 121 closed residential sales in December 2024, with a total value of $76.6 million—down from $101.1 million in December 2023. Hurricane Helene is likely a contributing factor to this year-over-year difference.

“Home sales momentum is building. More buyers have entered the market as the economy continues to add jobs, housing inventory grows compared to a year ago, and consumers adjust to mortgage rates between 6% and 7%.”
